My family read the summary for this episode on the Beeb.
There was a general moment of silence that can be summed up perfectly by the word "wat".
But we'll still get really really excited about it, and mum won't understand our joy, and Rory will be late and then will run around closing all the curtains because if he doesn't it won't be atmospheric enough and dad will watch from the floor for some reason because he always does that and then Rory (Pond) will probably die at least once and I'll go "ROOOORY" and my brother will be put out because he shares his name with a racing car in a children's program and that one guy who always dies in Doctor Who.
Also with a king of Ireland but he tends to focus his attentions more on the racing car.
My sister's name is Rory, and I keep having these moments of cognitive dissonace whenever I express my passionate love of Rory (Pond).

I actually heard from a interview with Matt Smith that its supposed to be really good for a mid-season opener.
