Mark Predicts ‘Deep Space Nine’: Season 5

I am just so terribly excited to see more of this show, my friends! I WANT IT TO RUIN ME.

So, let’s go over my last batch of predictions first:

1. THE DOMINION WILL BE THE MAIN PLOT IN THIS SEASON. Indeed they were!
2. We’ll see more Founders. AHHHH THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.
3. I will be tricked twice by a Changeling pretending to be someone. INDEED I WAS, OH MY GOD.
4. MORE KASIDY YATES. LOTS MORE. So much more, and then none at all. 🙁
5. The Odo/Kira relationship will be explored at LEAST once. Explored? More like abandoned.
6. Another Garak + Julian episode. YES. MORE. 
7. There will be a Gul Dukat episode too! YES. MORE OF THESE.
8. Another episode with Keiko in it! More than one, which is always good! 
9. The dart board will be retired. It was not, but just you wait. Molly will soon dominate these fools. 
10. I want Morn to have an episode as well. PLEASE, HE DESERVES ONE.
11. The Sisko beard will stay. We are at peak attractive with Sisko.
12. Jake will accept the writing fellowship and leave DS9. I’m glad he didn’t, JUST KIDDING HE DID IN “THE VISITOR” AND I WILL NEVER RECOVER. 
13. We’ll get an update about Quark’s and Rom’s mom. Moogie is doing fine!
14. NOG GETS INTO STARFLEET. YES YES YES YES YES.
15. Jadzia goes on a date. Huh, nope. 
16. JADZIA DESTROYS SOMEONE. She does this (emotionally) like once an episode, so it counts.
17. The end of season 4: The Federation can’t hold off the Dominion any longer, and they invade the Alpha Quadrant. I’m saving this for season 5, y’all.

A so-so performance, but I have thoughts about season 5.

Predictions for Season 5

1. At some point, Odo is turned back into a Changeling.
2. We’ll get an entire episode about him adjusting to being a human, though.
3. Kira will give birth to the O’Briens’ son.
4. Nog will graduate from Starfleet.
5. Well get an episode about Quark and the ramifications of “Body Parts.”
6. We will get 100% confirmation that Gowron is a Changeling.
7. We’ll find out that the Changelings have infiltrated other organizations and governments.
8. We will watch as the Dominion slowly de-stabilizes the Alpha Quadrant.
9. Jake will accept the writing fellowship and leave the station.
10. We will see Kasidy Yates again.
11. We’ll see the Mirror Universe characters once.
12. Kira and Shakaar will break up by the end of the season.
13. We’ll get a Worf-centric episode.
14. There will be a Jadzia and Trill-centric episode, too.
15. And this season will end with the Dominion invasion of the Alpha Quadrant. I THINK THE SHOW WILL GO THERE.
