SOB. Here’s my last prediction post for Veronica Mars as I venture into the final season.
Let’s go through season 2’s predictions first, though:
- I think the bulk of season two will be about the scandal surrounding the Kanes covering up part of Lilly Kane’s murder. HAHAHAHAHA 0/1
- We will also see or hear about Aaron Echolls’s trial. YOU MEAN I WILL SHRIEK AT THE SPECTACLE THAT IS AARON ECHOLLS’S TRIAL. 1/2
- Alicia Fennel and Keith Mars will GET MARRIED! what 1/3
- Keith will be offered the position of Sheriff due to his work on solving the Lilly Kane case!!! Well, not terribly far off the mark, but it was an election, not an offer. Boo to Lamb! 1/4
- Wallace will begin to take on bigger and bigger responsibilities in terms of casework. Technically? Sometimes? I don’t know what to count here, but I’m giving myself a pity point. 2/5
- Okay, I’m still sticking to the theory that Logan is at Veronica’s door. Hey! I got something undeniably right! 3/6
- I think Logan and Veronica will stay together as a couple for the majority of season two. (They just have to be together more than half of the time for this to count.)Â Followed by something UTTERLY WRONG. 3/7
- GRADUATION WILL HAPPEN! They’re seniors now, so there will be a graduation episode. omg everyone clapped for Veronica <3 <3 <3 4/8
- We will learn way more about Weevil’s backstory in this season. what 4/9
- MORE MAC. (This is both a prediction and a demand.)Â Yes! Lots more of Mac. 5/10
- We won’t see Lianne Mars this season. Y’all, this was ALMOST TRUE until the last episode. YOU CHEATED. 5/11
- Duncan will ask for Veronica’s help for something at least once this season. HAHAHAH OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. 6/12
- As will Meg! MORE MEG FOREVER. what the FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME? -1,000,000 BECAUSE I ADDED THE WORD FOREVER 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 -999,994/13
- At least three side characters from season one will play a prominent role in season 2. ACTUALLY! I’d say a great deal of side characters had elevated roles. Mac, Cassidy, Dick, Jane, Carmen, Corny… bless this show’s cast, I swear. -500,000/14 because I need to be generous to myself.
- I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE IS LEFT TO PREDICT HELP. Honestly, I love how viciously unprepared I was for season two. I love this show.Â
So, we’re about to start the final season of Veronica Mars. I think I’ve got enough unresolved plots to predict this season somewhat efficiently. Like, I might get five right. Trigger Warning: There’s a reference to rape below in one of the predictions.
- I don’t think Kendall’s briefcase has money in it.
- I think it has evidence of what Aaron Echolls did from inside prison, and Keith will use it to sully Aaron’s name after his death.
- Given that Veronica skipped out on that exam to attend the Echolls trial, I think she turned down going to Stanford, and instead, she goes to Hearst!
- WHICH MEANS VERONICA AND WALLACE WILL STILL BE TOGETHER.
- Given how season two started, I’m guessing that Logan and Veronica will have separated by the start of her freshman year of college.
- I predict that the rapes that were unresolved in “The Rapes of Graff” will finally be solved this season.
- Wallace will date someone new this season!
- And so will Veronica.
- I think in the season premiere, we’ll find out that Weevil is awaiting his case regarding Thumper’s murder.
- At some point, Thumper’s body will be found.
- Veronica will find out that she has a harder time making friends in college than in high school.
- I predict at least TEN new characters will appear in more than one episode each.
- I think Keith will run for Sheriff again this season, and he’ll win against Sheriff Lamb.
- Don Lamb will be exiled from earth and be forced to live on the moon.
- We will see more of the Fitzpatricks this season.
- I think that, in the wake of his brother’s suicide/guilt, Dick Casablancas will change drastically.
- By the end of this season, the following characters will appear at least once: Lianne Mars, Duncan Kane, Jackie, and Mr. Manning.
- MORE MAC ALL THE TIME. I won’t say “forever” because I don’t want to doom her as I did Meg. 🙁
- I think there will be two main mysteries spread out over season three.
- And I am not prepared for either of them.
