Mark Predicts ‘Leverage’: Season 4

While I don’t think I’ll have a whole lot of new, stunning predictions, I must take the time to laugh at the last batch because OH NO, WHAT HAVE I DONE.

Seriously, just look at these:

  1. In the interim, Sophie runs the Leverage team. Sort of??? I expected something more concrete.
  2. Nate will be in Interpol custody for two episodes. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
  3. PRISON HEIST. The team will try to break Nate out of jail in the first episode, but they’ll fail. Started out so right, then was so wrong.
  4. Sterling will be in five episodes. Lord, I did not do well here.
  5. We will not see Tara this season. I do miss Tara. She’s great!
  6. Hardison backstory episode! I still need this.
  7. Eliot backstory episode! AND THEN I KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK AND IT HURTS AND E L I O T.
  8. The season finale will focus on Nate’s attempt to finally bring down IYS. WELL. A noble guess! I think I’ll use this again.
  9. The team will get a new headquarters. I tried.
  10. Which will be built by Hardison. I tried again.
  11. Hardison will get a new van. I keep trying, and it’s just not working.
  12. HARDISON AND PARKER WILL GO ON A HONEST-TO-GOD DATE. This may be the poorest prediction performance ever.
  13. Sophie and Nate will start a relationship. AND THEN A SUPER GOOD ONE, WHAT THE HELL.
  14. We’ll get an episode about a corrupt start-up company. No.
  15. There will be an episode about video games. No.
  16. And another episode about a father not paying child support. (We haven’t had that yet!) No.
  17. And another episode about a social worker in some form. Nooooooooo.
  18. I AM NOT READY. This is so fucking pathetic, I got like three out of eighteen right, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, USUALLY I’M IRONICALLY BETTER AT THIS.

Now, given that there was only one cliffhanger element to season three, I don’t have a lot to go on, so expect a bit of recycling. Here we go!

Predictions for Season 4

  1. Sophie and Nate spend most of the season trying to hide their relationship from the team.
  2. They utterly fail, meaning that the team is going to reveal that they knew all along what was going on. COME ON, THEY ARE TOO PERCEPTIVE.
  3. Sterling will come back.
  4. Tara will not.
  5. Hardison backstory!
  6. Down with IYS!!!! Bring this back!
  7. HARDISON/PARKER. I NEED IT TO HAPPEN.
  8. We’ll also learn more about Eliot AND Parker’s pasts.
  9. There will be an episode where all five characters have to grift at once.
  10. I want another offbeat episode like “The Roshamon Job.” Give it to me!
  11. We’ll get a hint of this season’s arc in the first episode, but like season 3, there won’t be a whole lot of episodes addressing it.
  12. I know this is short, but I honestly don’t know what else to predict. All the stories were wrapped up!
  13. Ooooh, wait, we’ll get an episode about the team infiltrating a BIRTHDAY PARTY. Yes, good.

All right, I’m off to go start season 4. How exciting!
