I just need y’all to know this. I had a (thankfully) brief panic attack when I went to look for my prediction post for season 2. I Googled it because that’s usually the fastest way to find the post I want, but this didn’t work. There was no post. And I started to freak out because HAD I FORGOTTEN TO MAKE PREDICTIONS? HAD I MESSED UP BEYOND REPAIR?Â
Thankfully, that’s not the case. I’m making these predictions here on February 3 (since I’m binge writing in advance of tour), and THE POST DOESN’T GO UP UNTIL FEBRUARY 5.
This is my life now.
Let’s talk about season 2 because HELP.
- New headquarters! I think it’ll be Hardison’s hiding spot. NOT EVEN CLOSE, but at least I got the bit about the new HQ.
- Hardison and Parker will kiss, but not as part of a con. GOOD LORD, TOTALLY RIGHT. I’M PROUD OF MYSELF.
- We will get a Hardison backstory episode. Nope.
- Nate will quit drinking by the end of season 2. SOBS FOREVER.
- Sterling will appear in three episodes. He was in way more. Five?Â
- Those two goofy FBI agents will appear twice. Y E S. Well, it was only once, right?
- Sophie and Nate will start an honest-to-god relationship instead of ENDLESSLY FLIRTING WITH ONE ANOTHER. GODDAMN IT, WHAT HAVE I DONE.
- We’ll also see Eliot on a date with someone. Well, hitting on women. That happened a lot.
- One of the cases will involve an injustice against a homeless shelter. HOLY SHIT I WAS RIGHT AGAIN I AM A MODERN DAY SEER. I predicted this, though, because I believed the show would still be set in Los Angeles, not in Boston.
- Another will involve IYS again. YES
- Another will be set at an animal shelter. Nope!
- One of the five main characters gets shot. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EERILY RIGHT IN MY LIFE.
- Eliot never fires a gun all season. This is cheating, but still great!
- There will be one episode set outside the United States. Yep!
- SET ONE IN A LIBRARY, PLEASE. If only.Â
- Someone will get arrested at some point. This is the worst set of predictions I’ve ever done because it’s also the best.
- I WANT A JAIL/PRISON HEIST. SEASON THREE, MAYBE?????
- Heists? SO MANY.
- HELP. A CRY FROM THE PAST THAT HAS TOO MUCH RELEVANCE FOR THE PRESENT TIME.
Good lord, this isn’t okay. I honestly don’t ever revisit my predictions after I make them until these kind of posts, so I’d forgotten I’d said half this shit. Will I demonstrate more of my uncanny prophetic abilities again??? LET’S SEE.
Mark’s Predictions for Season 3 of Leverage
- In the interim, Sophie runs the Leverage team.
- Nate will be in Interpol custody for two episodes.
- PRISON HEIST. The team will try to break Nate out of jail in the first episode, but they’ll fail.
- Sterling will be in five episodes.
- We will not see Tara this season.
- Hardison backstory episode!
- Eliot backstory episode!
- The season finale will focus on Nate’s attempt to finally bring down IYS.
- The team will get a new headquarters.
- Which will be built by Hardison.
- Hardison will get a new van.
- HARDISON AND PARKER WILL GO ON A HONEST-TO-GOD DATE.
- Sophie and Nate will start a relationship.
- We’ll get an episode about a corrupt start-up company.
- There will be an episode about video games.
- And another episode about a father not paying child support. (We haven’t had that yet!)
- And another episode about a social worker in some form.
- I AM NOT READY.
