In the tenth episode of the second season of\u00c2\u00a0iZombie<\/i>, THIS EPISODE RULES. Intrigued? Then it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time for Mark to watch\u00c2\u00a0iZombie<\/i>.<\/p>\n

THESIS: THIS EPISODE IS GLORIOUSLY ENTERTAINING AND KINDA UPLIFTING.<\/p>\n

EVIDENCE BELOW:<\/p>\n

Zombie High<\/b><\/p>\n

Look, the fact that this show\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s writers thought it was worth it to basically make fun of the entire CW lineup is HILARIOUS to me. Intentional or not, it was easy to see \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Method Head\u00e2\u20ac\u009d as a brilliant send-up of modern genre television\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0the very network that\u00c2\u00a0iZombie<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0aired on. From the rant Ravi gives about how brainless\u00c2\u00a0Zombie High\u00c2\u00a0<\/i>is (GET IT? BRAINLESS??? I crack myself up), to the criticism of method acting on a fairly subpar television show, to Liv\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s enthusiasm over said subpar show, TO THE INCREDIBLE JOKE ABOUT FILMING IN LOCATIONS THAT ARE VERY OBVIOUSLY NOT THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS IN THE SHOW, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Method Head\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is honestly one of the best parodies\/satires that this show has done. I love it so much.<\/p>\n

Liv \/ Major<\/b><\/p>\n

As awkward as the first half of this episode is (SOUL-CRUSHINGLY AWKWARD), I appreciated that the writers did not focus on that awkwardness. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s incidental, but Liv and Major move past it. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re given multiple scenes in which they hang out and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00c2\u00a0not<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0the most uncomfortable thing we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve ever seen. Granted, I imagine Major must be worried about his eventual turn back into a zombie\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0the tragedy of the timing of this revelation\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0his work, but you know what? They all find ways to move on.<\/p>\n

Liv \/ Babineaux<\/b><\/p>\n

And the same goes for this plot! Yes, my entire soul wanted to evaporate out of my body once Babineaux told Liv to send him an email about her visions (WHICH\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT ON THE EMAIL SERVER, SIR), but the writers find a way to make Liv deal with the repercussions of her actions without turning \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Method Head\u00e2\u20ac\u009d into her suffering the entire time. Babineaux comes to recognize Liv\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s contribution to his work, and Liv really knocks it out of the park here. Her knowledge of\u00c2\u00a0Zombie High<\/i>, combined with the brain of a method actor, allows her to KILL IT with Babineaux.<\/p>\n

Also: watching her be excited about a TV show is really endearing.<\/p>\n

Major<\/b><\/p>\n

Since his sobriety, Major has\u00c2\u00a0also<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0been doing his best work. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fascinating to watch his focus hone in on how best to thwart what Vaughn is doing at Max Rager, and that includes figuring out that Vaughn is trying to test him BY PLANTING A BUG IN HIS FITBIT. OH MY GOD. You realize that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only a matter of time before he overhears something that reveals Liv\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s roommate for who she really is, right??? RIGHT???<\/p>\n

So, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m assuming he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s recording all these conversations, and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s going to be used against him but like\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 how could anyone believe it? I know I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m already thinking way, way ahead of where the story is, but shit is about to go\u00c2\u00a0down<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0on this show, and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m wondering just how far\u00c2\u00a0iZombie<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0is going to take it.<\/p>\n

Blaine and John Deaux<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u00c2\u00a0have<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0to think of that because Dale just figured out that Blaine is her major Meat Cute suspect, and that means it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only a matter of time before the FBI comes crashing down on Blaine\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s enterprise. Is he bothered by this? He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a resilient, cunning person, so I imagine that much like the sequence where he gets the yellow cooler taken out of Dale\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sight, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll find some way to avoid her suspicion. But what the\u00c2\u00a0hell<\/i>, y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all??? HOW IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN? Actually, maybe I should be asking another question: Will the show protect Blaine, or is his time about to be up? I LOVE THAT I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122M THINKING OF THESE THINGS.<\/p>\n

Babineaux + Food<\/b><\/p>\n

Gods all bless all those little moments. This show is a national treasure.<\/p>\n
