Intriged? Then it&#8217;s time for Mark to watch <em>Battlestar Galactica<\/em>. Oh, and <em>flip the fuck out<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><!--more-->JESUS CHRIST HOW.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THIS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This is the kind of shit you get dealt at a mid-season break, or maybe during the finale, BUT THIS IS EPISODE FOUR. <em>FOUR<\/em>. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, seriously, after returning to <em>Galactica<\/em>, Tigh interrogates Tyrol and TELLS HIM HE IS A CYLON. Oh god, the worst part about this is that IT IS ENTIRELY POSSIBLE. oh god Tigh has lost it and he is the worst leader ever and I&#8217;ve stopped being irritated by him because he just <em>depresses<\/em> me. HE CLEARLY DOES NOT NEED TO BE COMMANDING ANY SHIPS IN ANY FUTURE IN ANY WORLD. And then he PUTS HER IN THE SAME GODDAMN BRIG AS BOOMER. <em>OH MY GOD <\/em><strong><em>IN WHAT UNIVERSE IS THAT AT ALL A GOOD IDEA<\/em><\/strong>. First of all, why put <em>anyone<\/em> in the same cell as a known Cylon <em>WHO TRIED TO ASSASSINATE THE COMMANDER.<\/em> Secondly, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH BY PUTTING TYROL IN THERE. Will he get a confession of sorts out of Boomer? Oh, you fool, HOW WOULD THAT EVER WORK. And oh god, Boomer is still confused about her identity and IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO WATCH and oh god this is only going to get worse, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>BUT WHAT THE FUCK <em>THERE ARE OTHER HUMAN SURVIVORS ON CAPRICA. OR WAIT<\/em>. What if they are Cylons? <strong>WHAT IF THEY ARE CYLONS?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/markwatches.net\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/omgface.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-549\" title=\"omgface\" src=\"http:\/\/markwatches.net\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/omgface-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"https:\/\/markwatches.net\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/omgface-300x179.jpg 300w, https:\/\/markwatches.net\/reviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/omgface.jpg 986w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>THIS IS SUCH AN AWKWARD REALITY. Any human being could be a Cylon and it is <em>not at all illogical to think so. Oh god <\/em>COULD ONE OF THESE CHARACTERS NOT DIE. I mean, I don&#8217;t think the show would kill off Starbuck <em>ever<\/em>, but Helo? I COULD TOTALLY SEE HIM DYING BEFORE THE END OF THE SHOW. I wish I had not typed that, <em>it will be prophetic <\/em><strong><em>I HAVE THE POWER<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>BUT SERIOUSLY. Christ. THIS EPISODE. <em>THIS EPISODE<\/em>. Tigh is all, &#8220;I&#8217;M GONNA BE THE MOST RAGING ASSHOLE POSSIBLE. LET ME INSULT BALTAR, THEN MY CREW, THEN SUGGEST MORE AWFUL AND FOOLISH THINGS TO DO and then go back to my quarters for a drink and some bizarre verbal abuse and awkward sex with my wife <em>WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON<\/em>. I mean, RIGHT. Every single issue that Tigh is faced with, he makes a catastrophically <em>worse<\/em> decision with the last one. Oh, so ships are refusing to resupply <em>Galactica <\/em>because they don&#8217;t want martial law? LET&#8217;S THREATEN THEM WITH VIOLENCE. Oh, that made the situation even worse and <em>more<\/em> ships are refusing to cooperate? Let&#8217;s listen to Ellen&#8217;s stunning logic and <strong>ORDER MARINES ABOARD TO TAKE IT BY FORCE<\/strong>. Oh, so that is a disaster and four civilians are murdered in the process? <em>YELL AT THE LIEUTENANT AND BLAME HIM INSTEAD OF TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR ORDERING SUCH A NIGHTMARE<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>No, seriously, Tigh, <strong>STOP IT. WHAT ARE YOU DOING. I AM SO FURIOUS I JUST WROTE A QUESTION AND DIDN&#8217;T EVEN PUT APPROPRIATE PUNCTUATION AT THE END. <\/strong><em>CLEARLY I AM QUITE SERIOUS ABOUT MY ANGER.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As if I didn&#8217;t already have enough to deal with, LEE BEGINS TO PLOT A WAY FOR ROSLIN TO ESCAPE. I use all-caps because AS UNFORTUNATE AS IT IS THAT THE FLEET MIGHT SPLIT APART POLITICALLY, it&#8217;s actually a good idea? Or, at the very least, a <em>moral<\/em> one. And I&#8217;m glad Dualla is a part of it all as well; it&#8217;s a sign that people who take military duty very seriously are starting to realize that perhaps a resistance to that culture is sometimes <em>necessary<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But really, now, let&#8217;s just talk about the huge moment of WHAT THE FUCK: Baltar&#8217;s &#8220;test&#8221; on Tyrol. <em>WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!<\/em> Who knew he had that in him? But the scene stressed me out for a <em>different<\/em> reason: Boomer genuinely doesn&#8217;t seem connected to the Cylon network. I don&#8217;t know the official name\/terminology for it yet, but what I mean is that she seems to believe she is a human and <em>has<\/em> been one for years. She was programmed to be activated, and she can&#8217;t even remember <em>those<\/em> moments. Obviously, Baltar isn&#8217;t intimately aware of this, so that&#8217;s what presents the problem. He doesn&#8217;t know that his efforts might be futile. So as he injects Tyrol with a toxin and begins to scream demands of Boomer, wanting to know how many Cylons are still left on the <em>Galactica<\/em>, I expected disaster. She wasn&#8217;t going to tell him anything because she <em>couldn&#8217;t<\/em>. And either Tyrol would die or Baltar would lash out at Boomer.<\/p>\n<p>Nope. <em>Eight<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>EIGHT WHAT? Eight individuals? Eight models???? We know what four of the models look like, so does that mean there are eight more THAT WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN? <em>OH GOD HAVE I ALREADY SEEN MODELS OF CYLONS AND I JUST DON&#8217;T KNOW IT????<\/em> a;sdfj;aklsdfj a;kldfja; sdkfljsad;kf a;lksdjf;askldfj;fjkssdkljf<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT IS THIS EPISODE DOING TO ME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oh god, how <em>awesome<\/em> is Roslin&#8217;s little speech to that soldier who stops her? She just sweeps aside her gun, basically saying STAND ASIDE CHILD, THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT<em>. Oh my god I love her so much<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But even this seems threatened when Tigh is sent into a rage upon learning that Lee and Roslin have escaped the <em>Galactica. <\/em>IS HE GOING TO FIRE UPON THE SHIP AND KILL THEM BOTH? WILL HE CONTINUE HIS REIGN OF BAD CHOICES? <em>HOW MUCH MORE CAN I DISLIKE A CHARACTER? <\/em>Fortunately, he lets them get away, but you can see just how defeated he is after all of this. And when he turns his anger to the crew, I worried that he would figure out that Dualla was involved, especially with the way he looked at her. Calling back to an earlier scene where Lt. Gaeta confronted Dualla, Tigh asks if there were any calls made off the record. OH GOD IS HE GOING TO RAT OUT DUALLA OH GOD <em>PLEASE DON&#8217;T<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>When Lt. Gaeta isn&#8217;t on your side and is willing to lie to protect others, you might be doing things wrong, Tigh. But he knows it, and in his private quarters, he admits as much to Ellen, who is furious that her husband didn&#8217;t do what he could to establish himself as <em>the<\/em> Commander in Adama&#8217;s absence. GOD, ELLEN, <em>SHUT UP<\/em>. Seriously, WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE TO HELP <em>ASIDE FROM ASSISTING TOM ZAREK MURDER A PRISONER.\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>AND THEN ADAMA JUST SHOWS UP BEHIND THEM AND HE IS WALKING AND AWAKE AND <em>OH MY GOD HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU, BILL ADAMA!!!!!!1!!1!!111!11 <\/em><\/strong>Seriously, I genuinely did not expect to see him awake in this episode at all. I&#8217;m glad he&#8217;s not just <em>magically better<\/em>, and we can see how difficult it is for him to be up. In just a few seconds, though, we see how wonderful he treats his friend, despite how badly he&#8217;s fucked everything up. He&#8217;ll work them out <em>together<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>No, seriously, <em>amazing human being<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>But the MINDFUCKS don&#8217;t stop. When Roslin gets off the Raptor on Cloud 9, Tom Zarek is there to greet her. THAT WAS LEE ADAMA&#8217;S IDEA: get the man to help them out and <em>HIDE FROM THE MARINES<\/em>. Oh my god, seriously, I LOVE THIS SHOW. I LOVE THAT THEY GO SO OFTEN INTO WEIRD, UNCOMFORTABLE PLACES. Because what is more uncomfortable than Roslin being forced to work with the man who has tried to derail her presidency multiple times?<\/p>\n<p>Actually, what&#8217;s more uncomfortable than that is the fact that Boomer will be used for scientific testing. While I genuinely understand the fear and terror that come with the Cylons, especially since they destroyed nearly the entire human race, I find myself increasingly disturbed by my own feelings towards the human Cylon models. Yes, Boomer is a Cylon, albeit one who is programmed for remote activation. In her &#8220;deactivated&#8221; time, she&#8217;s a human. Right? Or at least her own unique individual being, if she&#8217;s not human. And subjecting her to humiliating and painful tests is really hard to think about, even though I get <em>why<\/em> the humans need to do it in order to stay alive.<\/p>\n<p>God, it&#8217;s just so <em>weird<\/em> to me. As Boomer is brought down the hall and a procession of crew members calls her names and pelts her with objects, I felt <em>bad<\/em> for her. But she shot Adama! But! OH GOD I AM CONFLICTED. I don&#8217;t know how to feel about this!<\/p>\n<p><strong>AND THEN CALLY SHOOTS HER IN THE STOMACH <em>WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK. <\/em><\/strong>And she tells Tyrol that she loves him <strong>AND THEN SHE DIES.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THEY KILLED OFF BOOMER. <em>WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>(PS: Does Starbuck have amazing chemistry with <em>everyone<\/em>?
