As much as a challenge as it is to do these, this is a lot of fun to do because I feel like ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN on\u00c2\u00a0The Next Generation<\/em>. IT’S SO WACKY. So here goes.<\/p>\n

Let’s start with my last batch of predictions:<\/p>\n

  1. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get a new castmember to take Tasha Yar\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s place.\u00c2\u00a0Not really, though Worf did more or less take her place.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get a\u00c2\u00a0separate<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0new longstanding character aside from this one.\u00c2\u00a0Dr. Pulaski!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Wesley will get into the Starfleet Academy.\u00c2\u00a0Did\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>he? He passed that one test and got to stay on the\u00c2\u00a0Enterprise<\/em> but I feel like that doesn’t quite count.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. There will be at least one episode devoted to the quiet, burning love between Dr. Crusher and Captain Picard.\u00c2\u00a0UGH.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. There will be one Holodeck-only episode. (The vast majority of an episode has to take place in it.)\u00c2\u00a0I think I’m technically right here!\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. The Holodeck will malfunction twice. Only once, as far as I remember.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. The shields will malfunction seven times. I should have counted this, but there’s no way it was less than ten times.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  8. There will be no major character deaths in season two.\u00c2\u00a0Huzzah!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll recognize four guest stars this season.\u00c2\u00a0Oh god, WHY DIDN’T I KEEP TRACK OF THIS.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. I will tell Riker to shut up twelve times.\u00c2\u00a0I told him 400 times.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. LWAXANA TROI RETURNS.\u00c2\u00a0PLEASE<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0YES. AND IT WAS FANTASTIC.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. We will learn what the Romulans meant by their return.\u00c2\u00a0ACTUALLY I FORGOT ABOUT THAT. It didn’t even happen!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. That Romulan arc will be the major arc in season two.\u00c2\u00a0HA. There wasn’t an arc at all!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll meet four new alien species.\u00c2\u00a0We met way more!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  15. BRING BACK DIXON HILL, PLEASE.\u00c2\u00a0HUZZAH I GOT THIS RIGHT.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  16. The disc of the\u00c2\u00a0Enterprise<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0will NOT separate from the ship this season.\u00c2\u00a0And this one, too.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All right. Some neat things happened in season 2 that might appear in this season, so here goes nothing:<\/p>\n

    1. Wesley leaves the\u00c2\u00a0Enterprise<\/em>.<\/li>\n
    2. Picard is kidnapped at some point.<\/li>\n
    3. Dr. Pulaski will be listed as a main character in the opening credits.<\/li>\n
    4. We’ll get a flashback episode for Worf.<\/li>\n
    5. As well as one for Deanna.<\/li>\n
    6. We’ll see the Ferengi again.<\/li>\n
    7. We’ll get another episode centering on The Borg.<\/li>\n
    8. Q will show up once.<\/li>\n
    9. Ensign Gomez! More of her!<\/li>\n
    10. Riker will romance three women. (SIGH.)<\/li>\n
    11. We will get our first\u00c2\u00a0The Next Generation\u00c2\u00a0<\/em>cliffhanger!!! I WANT ONE.<\/li>\n
    12. We’ll get one Holodeck episode.<\/li>\n
    13. We’ll get one Data-centric episode as well.<\/li>\n
    14. I also want one about the Klingon-Federation alliance!<\/li>\n
    15. There will also be one story about time travel.<\/li>\n
    16. There will be no episodes worse than “Shades of Grey.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Onwards we go!<\/p>\n
