So, this is happening. I’ve made it through seven seasons of this goddamn show, and\u00c2\u00a0this is my life now<\/em>. Let’s talk about the last season, and then allow me to stumble through poorly-formed guesses about season eight.<\/p>\n

Has there ever been a point I\u00c2\u00a0wasn’t<\/em> watching this show? I CAN’T EVEN REMEMBER IT.<\/p>\n

Mark\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Predictions for Season 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. First off, Death returns because he must.\u00c2\u00a0And in the first episode of the season!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. I think season 7\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Big Bad is Castiel. I\u00c2\u00a0love<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0the idea that he turns into the antagonist for season seven. THINK OF THE POTENTIAL.\u00c2\u00a0YOU CAN STOP LAUGHING AT ME NOW.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. At some point, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll see Sam deal with his memories of Hell.\u00c2\u00a0At many points, we will see Mark break because of Sam Winchester.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. By the end of season 7, Castiel will no longer be God.\u00c2\u00a0One episode. ONE EPISODE.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. He will also repair his relationship with Dean.\u00c2\u00a0Look, this is actually a good prediction? And I’d like to say that Dean and Sam are quite close to one another by the end of the season.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. And here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s where I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m utterly lost, because\u00c2\u00a0every recurring character aside from the main four are dead<\/em>. Well, wait, Crowley isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t dead, so I predict we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll see him in half of the episodes this season.\u00c2\u00a0Not quite!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Christmas episode?\u00c2\u00a0We need one, actually. Is there one aside from the season 3 episode? DON’T TELL ME.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Vampires again?\u00c2\u00a0HELLO, ALPHA VAMPIRE.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get three new creatures the show has not featured again.\u00c2\u00a0I meant “before.” Featured “before.” So! Kitsune, Osiris, vetala, Chronos, Amazons, shojo, I’ve already lost.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, a meta episode?\u00c2\u00a0Sort of? I’d say “Time for a Wedding!” counts.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m grasping at straws here, y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all. I DON\u00e2\u20ac\u2122T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY.\u00c2\u00a0HA<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. Um, Castiel kills all of Raphael\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s followers at some point.\u00c2\u00a0ACTUALLY THIS IS CANON, RIGHT???<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. Crowley dies.\u00c2\u00a0I TRIED.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m empty, y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all. I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do this, and it scares me. I feel like I have so little to go on, and the show is going to use that against me. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s totally what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s going to happen, right???\u00c2\u00a0Indeed, this is what\u00c2\u00a0always<\/em> happens. ALWAYS.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Okay, let’s embarrass myself publicly.<\/p>\n

    Mark’s Predictions for Season 8<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Dean and Castiel escape Purgatory by the end of the first episode.<\/li>\n
    2. Castiel is responsible for the escape.<\/li>\n
    3. They’re gone for only a few days in Earth time.<\/li>\n
    4. Only a few episodes will feature Leviathans, and it’ll be references to them being killed\/cleaned up.<\/li>\n
    5. More Charlie!<\/li>\n
    6. More Kevin Tran! (Advanced Placement!)<\/li>\n
    7. We’ll get a scene between Kevin and his mother talking about monsters and his role as a prophet.<\/li>\n
    8. Castiel will be in the majority of episodes this season.<\/li>\n
    9. So will Crowley.<\/li>\n
    10. Castiel will attempt to rebuild things in Heaven and repair his relationship with the other angels.<\/li>\n
    11. I think the Big Bad in season 8 will be Crowley! Because that seems like a lot of fun and they haven’t quite used him as much as they could. Plus, given the end of season 7, he’s positioned himself in a way that he’s ready to exercise more power now that Dick Roman is gone.<\/li>\n
    12. We’ll get seven new creatures we have not seen BEFORE. l o l<\/li>\n
    13. Another meta episode!<\/li>\n
    14. At least one episode will specifically be a humorous one.<\/li>\n
    15. Crowley dies at the end of the season.<\/li>\n
    16. So does one of the Winchesters because that happens a lot.<\/li>\n
    17. That’s a terrible prediction, but I can’t really think of anything “shocking” to happen at the end of the season, namely because I don’t have much of a hint about the nature of the season’s arc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
