I knew that\u00c2\u00a0<em>Clone High<\/em> was a show, and lots of my friends loved it, but otherwise, I came into this as ignorant as ever. LET&#8217;S DO THIS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/7rr8lxg29z5uwmr\/clonehighep2.mov\" target=\"_blank\"><!--more-->The video file for &#8220;Election Blu-Galoo&#8221; is available for download here<\/a>, and all Mark Watches videos are now indexed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/sh\/xx9l6nxutvo9mo3\/1IyIM77u_L\" target=\"_blank\">my Dropbox folder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 16px;\">You know, I really didn&#8217;t need to see any other episode to explain this! That&#8217;s kind of rad. So, the US government cloned a bunch of historical figures for their own purposes, stuck them in a high school to raise them for some future use, and then didn&#8217;t take into account that American high school culture is a mess. Oh, and Principal Scudworth has his own ideas of what he wants to do with the students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Just right off the bat, Joan of Arc is probably my favorite character. Maybe Gandhi. I love that this show takes these very recognizable people, and then contrasts them with character traits that you&#8217;d never expect. Except JFK. Oh my god, he&#8217;s basically the same, isn&#8217;t he?<\/li>\n<li>Oh shit, I was just looking at the cast for this episode on IMDB, and Will Forte is Abe Lincoln!!! What the hell, I DIDN&#8217;T RECOGNIZE HIS VOICE AT ALL.<\/li>\n<li>I love that the show also paints JFK and Lincoln as total fools who will do anything for women, and then they never get what they want anyway.<\/li>\n<li>Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, and Zach Braff as the Blu-Goo promoters?\u00c2\u00a0<em>Yes. YES, PLEASE<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Oh god, I know that this is mostly a parody in multiple ways, but most high school students really\u00c2\u00a0<em>don&#8217;t<\/em> care for elections, so does that count as a parody?<\/li>\n<li>The entire Blu-Goo bit reminded me of those Powerthirst commercials that were popular like six years ago.<\/li>\n<li>But let&#8217;s just get to the best part of this episode: Marilyn Manson showing up to sing to the Clone High populace about the importance of the food pyramid. It is one of the most brilliant bits of satire and irony I&#8217;ve come across because it&#8217;s presented so\u00c2\u00a0<em>casually<\/em>.
