CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->First, the video!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/55635702\" height=\"375\" width=\"500\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Oh, I don&#8217;t expect to ever change my mind about this: season five of\u00c2\u00a0<em>Buffy<\/em> is my favorite season of this show. It gave me Glory, Dawn, Tara and Willow being cute, &#8220;The Body,&#8221; &#8220;Family,&#8221; &#8220;Fool For Love,&#8221; and that fucking GUT-WRENCHING FINALE, &#8220;The Gift.&#8221; It also inspired the very first Mark Watches videos.\u00c2\u00a0<i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Season five is also responsible for that goddamn incredible running joke about Ben having\u00c2\u00a0<em>some<\/em> sort of connection to Glory. Ugh, I LOVE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH.<\/p>\n<p>I enjoy that\u00c2\u00a0<em>Buffy<\/em> tackled the issue of identity through Dawn in a remarkably complex and uncomfortable way, and the payoff in &#8220;Blood Ties&#8221; is absolutely worth it. We\u00c2\u00a0<em>needed<\/em> to see Dawn&#8217;s side of this because it&#8217;s such a bizarre notion to realize your experiences were\u00c2\u00a0<em>invented<\/em>. As I said in this video, it&#8217;s a fascinating way to also explore the concept of a teenage rebellion in a way we&#8217;ve\u00c2\u00a0<em>never<\/em> seen before.<\/p>\n<p>Oh gods, there is so much foreshadowing here, too. There was a time when Spike and Buffy were enemies! And then he had a crush on her! And then season six happened and\u00c2\u00a0<em>oh no<\/em>. I do wish the show had shown more of the Dawn\/Spike relationship, but you know, I&#8217;m just being\u00c2\u00a0<em>selfish<\/em>. I just want more because\u00c2\u00a0<em>I love this show so much<\/em>. I am excited that once I finish\u00c2\u00a0<em>Angel<\/em>, I&#8217;ll be able to spend time in the universe with the comics,\u00c2\u00a0<em>but it&#8217;s not the same<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, let&#8217;s all make fun of Riley because of reasons. Wait! I&#8217;m curious. What is everyone&#8217;s favorite season? I will only accept seasons three and five as answers. JUST KIDDING. Oh god, I never got to ask this, did I?
