Mark Watches ‘The Amazing Bulk’

Okay. Okay. I don’t think you understand how much y’all need to watch this. Y’all need to watch this.

The video file for my watch of The Amazing Bulk is available for download here, and all Mark Watches videos are being indexed in my Dropbox.

First, thanks to Michael, Samuel, and Suzanne for commissioning this. (You should visit Suzanne’s blog, Culturally Disoriented, for some fantastic feminist commentary on entertainment/pop culture!) I was told about this mind-blowing film at my Mark Does Stuff event in Montreal, and I implored them to make me watch this, and I am now a better person because of it. If you are unfamiliar with this film (and I sure 100% of you are, as there’s no reason anyone should know of its existence), allow me to share this trailer with you:

I cannot begin to convey to you what an awful movie this is. It is awful on a level that I did not know it was legal to make. This is a comic-sans filled adventure in why green screen should never be used, why actors need to act with more than just their bottom lips, and a painful example of how money was wasted to create… a thing? WHO DID THIS THING? PEOPLE GOT UP IN THE MORNING AND MANNED CAMERAS TO FILM THIS TRAVESTY.

If you’d like to watch me have an emotional breakdown over the course of 76 minutes, you should download this video. It’s a treat, and I’m rather proud of it. Thanks again for commissioning it!
