We are HERE, friends, and it’s time for me to make my\u00c2\u00a0final<\/em> prediction post for\u00c2\u00a0Star Trek: Voyager<\/em>. I predict that\u00c2\u00a0this shall destroy me<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Before we get there, let’s tally up the score for the previous season’s predictions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Somehow, Janeway convinces just\u00c2\u00a0one<\/em> crewmember of\u00c2\u00a0Equinox<\/em> to stop what they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re doing to the unnamed alien species.\u00c2\u00a0I mean… technically? I’ll count this because the captain of the\u00c2\u00a0Equinox<\/em> did come around.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The unnamed alien species is also finally able to communicate by the end of the first episode. VICTORY.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. But all the\u00c2\u00a0Equinox<\/em> crew die as well.\u00c2\u00a0I am genuinely surprised I got this wrong. Hmmm… now I have a prediction for season 7.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. At some point in this season,\u00c2\u00a0Voyager<\/em> gets a huge boost home.\u00c2\u00a0Maybe I should have been specific because I don’t know that anything that happens in season 6 counts as a “huge” boost. HMPH.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Harry is promoted, I TOLD YOU I WOULD DIE ON THIS HILL EVEN THOUGH IT\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S A HILL THAT OCCURRED ALREADY AND MY CAMPAIGN CAN\u00e2\u20ac\u2122T ACTUALLY AFFECT REALITY BUT I DON\u00e2\u20ac\u2122T CARE.\u00c2\u00a0HOW YOU GONNA PROMOTE TOM PARIS BUT NOT HARRY KIM<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Seven of Nine develops romantic feelings for someone!\u00c2\u00a0Instead, she gets BABIES<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not the Doctor. SOB.\u00c2\u00a0Well, this is technically right by virtue of getting the last one wrong. :: shrugs ::<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. At some point,\u00c2\u00a0Voyager<\/em> gets close enough to the Alpha Quadrant to be able to contact home with some regularity.\u00c2\u00a0HEY. HEY LOOK HOW GOOD THIS ONE IS. I ACTUALLY GOT ONE RIGHT.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. There will be 5 new species in this season.\u00c2\u00a0Well, there were more than that! I disqualify myself because I was too specific.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. Neelix will be asked to take on another new responsibility.\u00c2\u00a0This… was kind of a strange one.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. Tuvok turns human? I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, IT MIGHT HAPPEN.\u00c2\u00a0This was even stranger.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. More Borg!\u00c2\u00a0So much more and BABY BORGS.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. More Naomi Wildman!\u00c2\u00a0YES. MORE FOREVER.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll see the Devore again. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know, they were kinda fun in a fucked up way!\u00c2\u00a0I honestly forget about them. Whoops?<\/strong><\/li>\n
  15. At the end of the season, Tom and B\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Elanna will\u00c2\u00a0actually<\/em> get married.\u00c2\u00a0Oh, this didn’t happen either!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  16. And the big event at the end of the season: the promise of getting home. Somehow! I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m sure it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be super messed up, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be part of the story.\u00c2\u00a0Again, surprised this didn’t happen either, but HERE WE ARE.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So, final season. Lots of things could happen. LET ME TRY TO GUESS WHAT THEY ARE.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. We will learn in the premiere how Janeway planned to use assimilation to take down the Borg.<\/li>\n
    2. It’s through that genetic mutation; thus, the drones will be able to remember what happens in Unimatrix Zero when they are conscious.<\/li>\n
    3. The Borg Queen does\u00c2\u00a0not<\/em> die in the premiere.<\/li>\n
    4. But she is defeated by the end of the season.<\/li>\n
    5. At some point,\u00c2\u00a0Voyager<\/em> jumps a HUGE distance home, and in order for this to count, it has to cut off five or more years from their journey.<\/li>\n
    6. Another one of the Borg kids’ parents is located, but they stay on the ship.<\/li>\n
    7. HARRY KIM IS PROMOTED. COME ON.<\/li>\n
    8. Tom and B’Elanna get married.<\/li>\n
    9. Chakotay and Janeway entertain a relationship.<\/li>\n
    10. We will NOT see any members of the Equinox crew again.<\/li>\n
    11. At some point,\u00c2\u00a0Voyager<\/em> crosses into the Alpha Quadrant.<\/li>\n
    12. THEY GET A MISSION FROM STARFLEET. I mean, it makes sense, right?<\/li>\n
    13. Tom reunites with his father.<\/li>\n
    14. We see\u00c2\u00a0Voyager<\/em>‘s homecoming on screen….<\/li>\n
    15. …but not until the very last episode.<\/li>\n
    16. This homecoming happens at a time that is twenty years after the start of the show! Relative to the show’s own chronology, I mean.<\/li>\n
    17. I WILL CRY A LOT DURING THE FINALE.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Onwards to the last season!<\/p>\n
