What is wrong with all of you HOW COULD YOU LET ME DO THIS TO MYSELF<\/p>\n
On the Run<\/b><\/p>\n
Just kidding, I LOVE THAT THIS IS DESTROYING ME. This show was so unassuming and fun and then NOPE, GUESS WHAT, THERE\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S A HORRIFYING BACKSTORY TO EVERYTHING. Yet I also consider it an achievement that this isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t grim and hopeless, you know? It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s still a kids\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 show that I happen to be enjoying. (And utterly disturbed by, but that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a separate issue.) The references are both made for adults\u00c2\u00a0and<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0for kids, such as the fact that there are nods to both\u00c2\u00a0The Boxcar Children<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0<\/i>Junji Ito within the same episode. (I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe I just got to type that, y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all. What is this show???)<\/p>\n
I remember being obsessed with\u00c2\u00a0The Boxcar Children<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0mysteries, especially since the four kids solved so many of their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153cases\u00e2\u20ac\u009d without adults around. Couple that with my early love of\u00c2\u00a0The X-Files<\/i>, and y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all. Y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ALL. I just wanted to travel around the country solving mysteries for people. (Spoiler alert: I still want to. Badly.) I had other, less thrilling reasons to want to be on my own as a kid, but in a more general sense, I think most of us probably desired an adventurous life like this. The very idea of traveling around with a mysterious past and with the open road ahead of you\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 god, I love it.<\/p>\n
Kindergarten<\/b><\/p>\n
Didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t Peridot say something about Kindergarten in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Warp Tour\u00e2\u20ac\u009d? Am I imagining that???<\/p>\n
Okay, look, I feel like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153On the Run\u00e2\u20ac\u009d dropped a ton of information about the Crystal Gems, so let me try to get all this down:<\/p>\n
I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m glad that Pearl apologized to Amethyst, even though she had no idea that her words and the way she described Kindergarten made Amethyst hate herself. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve all done something like this! And in the end, Pearl had to own up to this, even if Kindergarten really\u00c2\u00a0was<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0a terrible place.<\/p>\n
SO\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 LIKE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THIS SHOW? WHAT THE HELL, Y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ALL.<\/p>\n
