Well, if anything, I’ve got one huge thing to look forward to: season 5 of\u00c2\u00a0The Next Generation<\/em> beating the bar raised by season 4. WHAT A TREAT.<\/p>\n

All right, let’s do this:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Somehow, Picard will be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153cured\u00e2\u20ac\u009d of his Borg transformation.\u00c2\u00a0True!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Earth won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be blown up or conquered.\u00c2\u00a0BUT A TON OF SHIPS WILL. :(\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Data will discover the method to (temporarily) defeat the Borg.\u00c2\u00a0Huzzah!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get a Q episode.\u00c2\u00a0And it was a weird one.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get at least one reference to Worf\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s decision to be ostracized from the Klingons.\u00c2\u00a0WE GOT SO MANY MORE THAN I EXPECTED.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get one more appearance from Lwaxana Troi.\u00c2\u00a0And it will destroy me. \ud83d\ude41<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Other than the opening episode, we won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see the Borg in season 4.\u00c2\u00a0These are literally the best predictions I’ve ever had.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. The finale will be a cliffhanger, too.\u00c2\u00a0AND IT’S SO UNFAIR. I’m counting it as a cliffhanger both because the story isn’t resolved\u00c2\u00a0and<\/em> because the Yar reveal is… well, it counts.\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. I really want a Deanna flashback episode. I REALLY WANT IT.\u00c2\u00a0Hey, I got one wrong!<\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. Wesley will\u00c2\u00a0finally<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0leave the\u00c2\u00a0Enterprise<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0to enter the Academy.\u00c2\u00a0I HAVE NEARLY SCORED PERFECTLY.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. Picard and Dr. Crusher will go on a date!\u00c2\u00a0Ha. HA. Nope. Dr. Crusher and Parasite Man will, though.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. One episode will be full of Shakespeare references. (Again.)\u00c2\u00a0Ah, no dice.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. At some point, I will angrily shout at all of you for making me watch this show.\u00c2\u00a0I certainly yelled a lot\u00c2\u00a0about<\/em> the show itself, but I don’t know that that counts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Okay, so, I’ve got a few things to predict for the next season, and perhaps I’ll be as correct as I was for season four. (And yet? Still unprepared.)<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. We’ll learn how that Romulan leader looks like Tasha Yar.<\/li>\n
    2. I don’t think Worf is leaving permanently. He’ll rejoin the crew by the second episode.<\/li>\n
    3. The House of Duras threat will also be dealt with in the premiere.<\/li>\n
    4. But it will extend to a second episode later in the season.<\/li>\n
    5. The bulk of this season will deal with the Romulan threat.<\/li>\n
    6. We’ll get another Data-centric episode.<\/li>\n
    7. As well as one surrounding Riker.<\/li>\n
    8. And one surrounding Guinan!!! It’s about time for her to have one.<\/li>\n
    9. Q will appear once.<\/li>\n
    10. So will the Ferengi.<\/li>\n
    11. So will the Cardassians.<\/li>\n
    12. We’ll get one time travel episode.<\/li>\n
    13. We’ll also get an update on Wesley.<\/li>\n
    14. NOW Dr. Crusher and Picard will go on a date. (COME ON, MAKE IT HAPPEN.)<\/li>\n
    15. The season 5 finale will crush my soul.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
