So buckle in, Watchers, because it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to determine if my predictions for season two came true and for me to make a fool of myself <em>yet again<\/em> for season three of <em>Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->So let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s start off with last season\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s predictions and see how many I got right!<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All right, let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s start out with the easy stuff. In season two, Katara is going to be confused about her feelings for both Aang and a second person we have not met yet. <strong>WRONG, but only because I added that second part. She was totally angsting. WAIT. <em>AANGSTING.<\/em> Fuck, I am a genius.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Jet will reappear in season two. <strong>SOMEONE GIVE ME A REWARD<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Aang will be trained by an earth bending master we have NOT met yet. <strong>HELL YES. Oh, Toph, I am so glad that you are on this show.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Sokka will be reluctant to feel romance to[wards] someone else after the loss of Princess Yue. <strong>IT\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S LIKE I WROTE THIS WHOLE SECOND SEASON MYSELF.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>We will see a story about Appa? Look, I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know what they could tell BUT LET A BOY DREAM. <strong><em>AND A BOY\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S DREAM CAME TRUE oh my god<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>HELL, LET US HAVE AN EPISODE DEVOTED TO MOMO, TOO. <strong>Well, we got one segment of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Tales of Ba Sing Se,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d but that doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t quite satisfy this. booooo.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re talking about flashbacks, I think we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get one about Sokka\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\/Katara\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s family. <strong>NOPE. We didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get much Hakoda at all. moar plz?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This is becoming less of a prediction list and more of a wish list, because now I want to see Uncle Iroh in a flashback as well. <strong>OH MY GOD <em>SADDEST FLASHBACK OF ALL TIME<\/em><\/strong><em>. <\/em><strong><em>why did I wish for this.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>We will meet Aang\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s earth bending master BEFORE the halfway mark of the season. (I think that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s episode ten? Unless there are more episodes this season.) <strong>I AM A MASTER.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>We will see much, much more of Zuko\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unnamed sister. <strong>OH GOD AZULA. NEVER HAVE I FELT SO CONFLICTED ABOUT A CHARACTER IN MY WHOLE LIFE. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>All right, let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s get to the REAL SHIT. I predict that Aang will go into the Avatar state before the halfway mark of the season. <strong>lol FIRST EPISODE LOL<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Aang will master both water bending and earth bending by the time we get to the end of season two. <strong>SHIT YEAH.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>We will find out something more about what Ba Sing Se is. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to say too much because that might be something for season three, but it is an Earth Kingdom town, so why not in Book Two? I SAY YES. <strong>WELL. YOU FOUND OUT SOMETHING ABOUT IT, DIDN\u00e2\u20ac\u2122T YOU.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Zuko\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sister will be the only main character to die in season two. <strong>OH MARK. YOU WERE SO ~PRECIOUS~ BACK THEN.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fire Lord Ozai will speak to Aang himself.<strong>They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re really saving him for season three, aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t they?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>I predict that Team Avatar will gain FIVE more people on their side. They won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t necessarily travel with them the whole time, but I think it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time for the Team to get more members! <strong>Ok, so here\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the hard part. I have to count this. Toph is #1. Iroh is #2. Zuko is #3 in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Chase\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Can I count Smellerbee, Jet, and Longshot from \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Lake Laogai\u00e2\u20ac\u009d? Ok, I am. #4, #5, #6. Shit, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s six. Well, this is good! But it doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t count for me.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>And my big prediction for season two: Uncle Iroh and Prince Zuko will be two of those new \u00e2\u20ac\u0153team\u00e2\u20ac\u009d members. LOOK I KNOW I MAKE JOKES ABOUT PUPPY DOGS AND CUPCAKES but I really want them all to be on the same side ok gosh stop judging me. <strong>Sorry, counting \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Chase\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Crossroads of Destiny\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for Iroh, but I think, technically, Zuko doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t count for this because of his final turn at the end of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Crossroads of Destiny.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Ok, so that is 10 out of 17. Not bad, I suppose! Seriously, now I can see why this was so painful for some of you to read. My predictions were ridiculous.<\/p>\n<p>AND NOW ON TO SEE HOW FOOLISH I CAN BE IN A FEW HUNDRED WORDS<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MARK\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S TOTALLY ACCURATE AND WISE PREDICTIONS FOR SEASON THREE<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>Aang will not master fire bending until at <em>least<\/em> the halfway mark of the season.<\/li>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>Sokka will re-visit his father.<\/li>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>We will not see the Freedom Fighters again. \ud83d\ude41<\/li>\n<li><strong> <\/strong>Katara will use her healing powers four times over the course of the season.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong>Aang will enter the Avatar State by episode three.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong>Aang will speak with past Avatars that are NOT Avatar Roku.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong>Team Avatar will rescue Uncle Iroh from the Fire Nation.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong>Team Avatar will still attempt some sort of invasion or infiltration on the day of the solar eclipse.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong>Aang will be consumed with massive guilt in the season three opener for having lost the battle at Ba Sing Se.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Momo will be captured at least once in season three.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> And let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s now turn towards the serious: Azula will be double-crossed by Ty Lee after Ty Lee witnesses Azula doing something that disappoints her or breaks her heart. (WHAT. I THINK IT WOULD BE AN INTERESTING STORY TO PURSUE.)<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Uncle Iroh will die by the end of season three. \ud83d\ude41 I predicted long ago, in my first review, that he would be the first character to die, and I was thankfully wrong. But after the death of Jet and that harrowing finale, I kind of feel like there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nothing protecting him at this point and part of me thinks it might spur Zuko to finally turn against the Fire Nation.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Oh, right, about that: Zuko will <em>fully<\/em> come over to Team Avatar by the time the finally rolls around. THERE I SAID.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Zuko will return to the Fire Nation and his father will <em>not<\/em> accept him back. Remember: Azula <em>always<\/em> lies.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Aang will visit the Spirit World <em>twice<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Toph will discover an earth bender who might be better than she is.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Ok, DRAMA TIME. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know how this might actually work, but Katara and Aang will end up together. Maybe in the sense that they finally reveal how they both feel about one another and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all cute and whatnot.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Sokka will finally let his guard down and give himself over to Suki.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> The Kyoshi Warriors will play heavily into the series finale.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Aang will battle Fire Lord Ozai himself ONLY during the series finale and it will be on the day that Sozin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Comet passes by.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> Aang will defeat Fire Lord Ozai and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153save the world,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d but in the process, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll harm someone close to him.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong> The show will end with an image mirroring something we saw in the very first episode.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wow, typing those last few\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6..this show is going to be over soon. That is <em>depressing<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve already decided this: We are going to do a massive liveblog to watch the 90+ minute series finale. There are basically sixteen episodes left, so that will give us three weeks to handle all the eps before the finale by July 8<sup>th<\/sup>. On July 9<sup>th<\/sup> (a Saturday), we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll hold the liveblog for the finale and my brain will explode and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll cry for a thousand hours. And then, on Sunday, July 10<sup>th<\/sup>, we will host a liveblog that is the polar opposite for everything as I attempt to watch <em>Avatar: The Last Airbender<\/em>. Yes. The movie. The only way I can survive is with YOUR HELP. So let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all support me through this rough time.<\/p>\n<p>This is both exciting and really sad.
