AND THEN I FORGOT THAT I WROTE THEM. It was a long break between seasons for me! (But not like it was for y’all watching it in real time SORRY I HAD TO)

So, if this is your first prediction post for Mark Watches, let me mention two guidelines for participating:

1) Don’t spoil me in any way. Don’t tally my right and wrong answers. Don’t quote a prediction and then giggle at it. DON’T MAKE ANY SORT OF SUGGESTION, NO MATTER HOW SUBTLE, THAT WOULD POSSIBLY MAKE ME FEEL I AM RIGHT OR WRONG ABOUT ANYTHING. (You’re welcome to use rot13 to do this, though!) This goes for other members of this community who are watching along with me and will be posting their own predictions. Don’t spoil them either.

2) Don’t fake predictions. It’s been a year and a half since the last time I saw someone do this, but just in case: Do not pretend to have never seen this show and make predictions that ending up being ~eerily right~. We will know you are doing this.

Okay, so, just as a warning? These predictions are going to be terrible because it’s not like season one gave me a whole lot to go on in terms of the future. I WILL STILL TRY.

Mark’s Predictions for Season Two

I think the bulk of season two will be about the scandal surrounding the Kanes covering up part of Lilly Kane’s murder.

We will also see or hear about Aaron Echolls’s trial.

Alicia Fennel and Keith Mars will GET MARRIED!

Keith will be offered the position of Sheriff due to his work on solving the Lilly Kane case!!!

Wallace will begin to take on bigger and bigger responsibilities in terms of casework.

Okay, I’m still sticking to the theory that Logan is at Veronica’s door.

I think Logan and Veronica will stay together as a couple for the majority of season two. (They just have to be together more than half of the time for this to count.)

GRADUATION WILL HAPPEN! They’re seniors now, so there will be a graduation episode.

We will learn way more about Weevil’s backstory in this season.

MORE MAC. (This is both a prediction and a demand.)

We won’t see Lianne Mars this season.

Duncan will ask for Veronica’s help for something at least once this season.

As will Meg! MORE MEG FOREVER.

At least three side characters from season one will play a prominent role in season 2.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE IS LEFT TO PREDICT HELP.

We start season two bright and early tomorrow!

For the record, I wrote these predictions on December 18th, just after I’d finished my review for the season one finale.
