OH GOD THIS IS GENUINELY GOING TO BE SUPER DIFFICULT.\u00c2\u00a0HELP<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As is customary, let’s determine how prepared I was for season 4 before we look to the future.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Elections will be held this year.\u00c2\u00a0YES. A GOOD START. 1\/1<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Hoynes will NOT BE THE VICE PRESIDENT. Yeah, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m predicting that some ~drama~ happens and they have to replace him.\u00c2\u00a0HAHAHAHAHA SO CLOSE AND YET\u00c2\u00a0SO FAR<\/em>. 1\/2<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. We will get an episode about one of the debates between Governor Ritchie and Bartlet.\u00c2\u00a0HAHA, “one” of the debates. Still, this counts! 2\/3<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. We will meet the Bartlet daughter we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve not seen yet.\u00c2\u00a0Damn it, we still haven’t met Liz! 2\/4<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. THE MURDER OF SHAREEF WILL NOT BE KEPT A SECRET, at least not internally. I will be kinda mad if they get away with it?\u00c2\u00a0C R Y I N G BECAUSE THIS IS TOO MUCH. 3\/5<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. One of the staff members will quit over it.\u00c2\u00a0Nope! 3\/6<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Bonus points if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Toby. (And I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think Toby would leave the show, just have a new storyline.)\u00c2\u00a0I will cry over Toby later. 3\/7<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Lily Tomlin will appear again and be hired to replace Mrs. Landingham! (A boy can dream, y\u00e2\u20ac\u2122all.)\u00c2\u00a0AND A BOY’S DREAMS WERE ANSWERED. 4\/8<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. C.J. will spend most of the season dealing with Simon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s death, but she will begin to date again by the end of season 4. Wow, not even\u00c2\u00a0close<\/em>. Oh, well! 4\/9<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  10. There will be at least one reference in the characterization\/speech of Ritchie to George W. Bush. (I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m basing this off the fact that he seems to be a willful reference to Bush\u00c2\u00a0anyway<\/em>, and I really want to get one thing right.)\u00c2\u00a0Hey! I was spot-on! 5\/10<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. Josh and Amy will stop seeing one another.\u00c2\u00a0And about this too! 6\/11<\/strong><\/li>\n
  12. During the run up to the election, Leo\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s alcoholism will be made public, and it will be used against the Bartlet campaign.\u00c2\u00a0Well, now I have a different theory about that, but we’ll get to it later. 6\/12<\/strong><\/li>\n
  13. Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s do some Election Day predictions! Bartlet will appear to be losing at first.\u00c2\u00a0HA. NOPE. HE TOTALLY DOMINATED. 6\/13<\/strong><\/li>\n
  14. He will lose the popular vote, BUT \u00e2\u20ac\u201c\u00c2\u00a0NOPE. 6\/14<\/strong><\/li>\n
  15. Bartlet will win the electoral votes needed to get a second term.\u00c2\u00a0YAY! 7\/15<\/strong><\/li>\n
  16. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s right, I predict another four years of Bartlet. While I love the idea of the show changing presidents mid-run, I think we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get more of Jed Bartlet.\u00c2\u00a0Can I give myself a pity point even though this is the same prediction as 15? I’m doing it. 8\/16<\/strong><\/li>\n
  17. With this, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get at least ONE new staff member.\u00c2\u00a0WILL BAILEY HALLELUJAH. 9\/17<\/strong><\/li>\n
  18. Donna and Josh will consider a relationship with one another because FUCKING COME\u00c2\u00a0ON<\/em>. IT\u00e2\u20ac\u2122S SO OVERDUE.\u00c2\u00a0and i am CONTINUALLY DESTROYED BY THIS. 9\/18<\/strong><\/li>\n
  19. This season\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s inanimate object that will destroy me: a pizza box.\u00c2\u00a0Oh god, now I’m trying to think back on what DID do this. C.J.’s father fishing. Toby saying he didn’t have the capacity to love. Donna’s entire existence. 9\/19<\/strong><\/li>\n
  20. The season finale will make me cry.\u00c2\u00a0TOBY. TOBY WHO KNEW YOU WOULD BE THE ONE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. 10\/20<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So, I clearly flunked that one out. Let’s try to do better!<\/p>\n

    Mark’s Predictions for Season 5 of ‘The West<\/strong><\/span> Wing’<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Zoey Bartlet won’t be found in the season premiere.<\/li>\n
    2. President Walken is going to be RIDICULOUSLY HARD TO WORK WITH.<\/li>\n
    3. Zoey will be found by the FOURTH episode.<\/li>\n
    4. Bartlet will become president again by the FOURTH episode.<\/li>\n
    5. At some point in season five, Leo McGarry will be asked to be Bartlet’s Vice President.<\/li>\n
    6. HE WILL ACCEPT AND ALL WILL BE GLORIOUS.<\/li>\n
    7. We will get a new cast member who will replace Leo’s old position.<\/li>\n
    8. By the mid-season mark, Donna will be forced to confront her feelings for Josh\u00c2\u00a0to<\/em> Josh.<\/li>\n
    9. Will Bailey will write a truly terrible speech at one point in this season.<\/li>\n
    10. The Shareef controversy will come to a head in this season, and the administration will have to publicly answer for what they’ve done.<\/li>\n
    11. There will be a State of the Union episode this season!<\/li>\n
    12. A Big Block of Cheese Day, too!<\/li>\n
    13. And the holiday\/Christmas episode will ruin me.<\/li>\n
    14. This season’s character who will make me most teary-eyed: Donna.<\/li>\n
    15. Given what happened in this season, I think Charlie and Zoey will pursue a relationship again, but not until at\u00c2\u00a0least<\/em> the halfway point of the season.<\/li>\n
    16. Josh will have a meltdown over something because he’s due for one.<\/li>\n
    17. There will be an episode featuring a new staff member being hazed with pranks.<\/li>\n
    18. I’m not really going to notice that Aaron Sorkin isn’t writing the show anymore.<\/li>\n
    19. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO PREDICT FOR THE FINALE. Someone will get hurt? That includes emotional pain, FYI.<\/li>\n
    20. I think there will be a huge domestic terrorist attack in season 5.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Oh god, let’s see how I do! Season 5 of\u00c2\u00a0The West Wing<\/em> starts on Tuesday!<\/p>\n
